This policy applies to the Word Buddy app for iOS, published by Charles Rose ("we"). Word Buddy is a word-guessing game intended for children, so we have built it to be safe and private by design.
None. We do not collect, request, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data, and it does not use any advertising or device-tracking identifiers.
To make the game work, Word Buddy saves a small amount of gameplay data locally on your device only, using Apple's standard on-device storage. This includes things like:
This information never leaves your device. We cannot see it. It is removed when you delete the app.
Word Buddy does not include any third-party advertising, analytics, or software development kits (SDKs). No data is shared with any third party, because no data is collected in the first place.
Word Buddy is designed for children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). This approach is intended to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's privacy laws. No parental consent is required because there is no data collection to consent to.
Word Buddy does not currently offer in-app purchases and does not link out to other websites or services. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and any such feature will be placed behind a parental gate as required for children's apps.
Since Word Buddy collects no data and has no servers, there is no personal information that could be lost, stolen, or exposed by us. On-device data is protected by your device's own security.
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in the app.
